The Professional Building, now known as the Professional Building Lofts, is a historic 16-story structure located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Originally constructed in 1929 as a medical building for doctors and dentists, this Modernist-style building was repurposed into 132 units of affordable housing in the early-2000s.

Architectural Design

The Professional Building, designed in the Modernist style, stands as a testament to early 20th-century architectural innovation. The 16-story structure features two prominent street facades, which are marked by stone piers that ascend to a crenelated parapet, giving the building a striking vertical emphasis.
