Built in 1858, the John Wornall House stands as one of the few surviving antebellum homes in Kansas City. Located at 6115 Wornall Road in the Brookside neighborhood, the two-story Greek Revival home was constructed using locally sourced limestone, mortar, and bricks that were fired on-site. Today, the home is operated as a museum by the Wornall Majors House Museums, offering visitors a glimpse into mid-19th century farm life and the divided loyalties of the Civil War era.
