The Muehlebach Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, is one of the city’s most iconic and historically significant hotels. Since its opening in 1915, it has been at the center of Kansas City’s social and political life, hosting notable figures from U.S. presidents to world-famous entertainers.
Today, the hotel is an integral part of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, though its original grandeur still lingers in its preserved ballrooms and lobby spaces.
Architectural Features
The Hotel Muehlebach was designed by the renowned Chicago architectural firm Holabird & Roche in the Beaux-Arts Classicism style, a popular architectural approach in the early 20th century.
