The Kansas City Masonic Temple at 903 Harrison Street was completed in 1911 to serve the city's growing network of Masonic lodges. At the time, Kansas City had ten Masonic lodges and a strong fraternal presence, which had lost its previous meeting hall in a downtown fire in 1909. In response, local Masons formed the Kansas City Masonic Temple Company to finance and construct a new building designed specifically for Masonic use.
